Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 10 May 2025  ยท  Effective Date: 10 May 2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before enrolling in or attending any programme offered by Mendric. By submitting an enquiry or registration, or by attending a session, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms carry the meanings given below:

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Website or enrolling in a Programme, you confirm that:

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not submit any enquiry or proceed with enrolment.

3. Service Description

Mendric provides structured financial education focused on the concept of household reserve funds. Our Programmes are designed for adult learners who wish to build a better understanding of reserve planning vocabulary, household setting-aside practices, and structured reflection methods.

Sessions are held at our premises in Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, or at such other venues as notified to enrolled participants. Programmes are conducted in small groups to maintain a considered and unhurried learning environment.

All Programmes are educational in nature. Mendric does not provide personal financial advice, investment recommendations, or any regulated financial services. Our content is intended solely to build general awareness and vocabulary around household reserve fund concepts.

4. Enrolment & Eligibility

Enrolment in a Programme is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from Mendric. Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis after payment is received.

Mendric reserves the right to decline an enrolment at its discretion, in which case any payment received will be returned in full.

Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. Mendric does not guarantee entry to any subsequent cohort in the event of missed sessions, and no make-up sessions are provided as a matter of course.

5. User Responsibilities

As a participant in any Mendric Programme, you agree to:

You agree not to use the Website or any Programme materials to misrepresent qualifications or to present the educational content as personalised financial advice to third parties.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website and within all Programme materials โ€” including text, workbook layouts, templates, session structures, and written reviews โ€” is the intellectual property of Mendric and is protected under applicable Malaysian and international copyright law.

Upon enrolment, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Programme materials for your personal educational purposes only. This licence does not permit you to copy, reproduce, share, adapt, publish, or commercialise any materials.

Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

7. Payment Terms

Programme fees are as follows:

All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any materials specified in the Programme description. Payment must be made in full before enrolment is confirmed.

Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of enrolment. Mendric does not accept instalment arrangements unless expressly agreed in writing.

Refund Policy

Requests for a refund received more than 14 calendar days before the first scheduled session of a Programme will be considered on their merits, and a refund of the amount paid less an administrative fee of RM 80 may be offered. Requests received within 14 days of the first session are not ordinarily eligible for a refund, except where the session is cancelled by Mendric.

If Mendric cancels a Programme, enrolled participants will receive a full refund of amounts paid for that Programme. Mendric's liability in such circumstances is limited to the refund of fees paid and does not extend to any other costs or losses incurred.

8. Programme-Specific Terms

Reserve Fund Vocabulary Workshop

This workshop runs over four sessions. The printed workbook and closing written summary are included in the fee. Session schedules will be confirmed at the time of enrolment. Places are kept small to allow considered discussion.

Reserve Reading Course

This course runs over six evening sessions across six weeks. The printed manual and two written workbook reviews are included in the fee. Participants are expected to engage with the reading material between sessions to make the most of the group evenings.

Year of Reserve Pages Programme

This programme runs over ten weekly group sessions. The year-long reserve pages workbook and three written one-to-one check-ins are included in the fee. Participants are encouraged to maintain their workbook consistently throughout the year for the written check-ins to be of most use.

Academic Integrity

Mendric does not provide certificates of qualification or accreditation. Participants should not represent completion of any Programme as a formal financial qualification. Our Programmes are educational enrichment activities only.

9. Disclaimers

All Programmes and Website content are provided for general educational purposes only. Mendric makes no representation that the information presented will be suitable for any particular household's circumstances, and nothing presented constitutes personal financial advice.

Mendric does not hold a Capital Markets Services Licence or any other licence to provide regulated financial services under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 or any other Malaysian legislation. If you require advice tailored to your personal financial situation, you should consult a suitably licensed professional.

While we take care to ensure the accuracy of educational content, Mendric does not warrant that all information is current, complete, or free from error.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Mendric's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with a Programme or the Website shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant Programme.

Mendric shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of savings, or financial decisions made following participation in a Programme.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Mendric shall not be in breach of these terms where failure to perform obligations arises from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, public health directives, infrastructure failures, or other events outside its control.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Mendric, its facilitators, and representatives harmless from any claim, demand, or expense โ€” including reasonable legal costs โ€” arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of Programme materials, or any unlawful activity conducted by you in connection with the Website or a Programme.

12. Termination

Mendric may, at its discretion, terminate or suspend your participation in a Programme if you breach these Terms and Conditions, behave in a manner that disrupts other participants, or provide false information during registration.

In such cases, Mendric will not be obliged to offer a refund except where required by law.

You may withdraw from a Programme at any time, subject to the refund terms set out in Section 7.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination โ€” including Sections 6, 9, 10, and 11 โ€” will continue to apply after any termination.

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

Before commencing any formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will endeavour to respond within 10 working days.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer the matter to the Consumer Claims Tribunal of Malaysia, where the claim falls within its jurisdiction, or to a court of competent jurisdiction in Malaysia.
